Was the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ made of light (Noor), as claimed by the Barelvi school of thought, or Bashar, as claimed by Ahle Sunnah wal Jamaa’ah Deoband and all the Madhabs (Hanafi, Hambli, Malaki, and Shafi)?
The Beloved and Final Prophet of Allah, Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, was a human being (BASHAR), not a being of light (Nur). This is clearly proven through the Qur’an, Saheeh Hadith, scholarly consensus (Ijma’), and sound reasoning.
What does the Quran Say:

In fact, the Prophet Muhammad (صلى الله عليه وسلم) is not only a bashar but also Sayyadul Bashar (or Sayyid al-Bashar), “Leader of Mankind” and “Master of Humans”.

The Prophet ﷺ said:

When A’ishah (رضي الله عنها) was asked about what the Prophet ﷺ would do at home, she replied:

To claim Prophet Muhammad ﷺ is not a Bashar (Human Being) by Barelwī (Imam Raza Khan Followers) is Blasphemous and Dishonorable.
