Defense Against Accusations: Shaykh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah defended Imam Abu Hanifa (Numan ibn Thabit) – (the greatest and most widely followed imam , from the 4 Great Imams) against accusations that he deliberately rejected saheeh authentic Hadith in favor of Qiyas (analogy). Shaykh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah argued that anyone who believes Imam Abu Hanifa (Numan ibn Thabit) intentionally contradicted an authentic Hadith is mistaken, and misguided.
